Daily Prompt: Bookworm

The last book I finished was “Succubus Blues” by Richelle Mead.  A very good friend of mine gave it to me,   hoping it would help me chill out a bit.  It was fantastic!  From the first sentence I was hooked.  Sometimes a book can steal you away from the real world and suck you instantly into its own.  It’s the original teleportation device, ya know?  Well, I can honestly say Ms. Mead is a linguistic miracle worker. My friend had given me the PERFECT book.

The story line is smart, quick-witted, and sarcastic; the plot revolves around magic and words, two of my favorite subjects.  The heroine is a succubus!  I love that angle.  I laughed, I cried, and I got downright emotionally invested in her.  I instantly connected with her, and wanted her to have her happy ending.  I also truly connected with another major player in the novel.  The writer.  Richelle Mead put to paper the way I feel when I write, and how I feel others perceive me during my fits of literary passion.

There wasn’t a moment in the entire book that I wasn’t completely enthralled.  I would emphatically recommend this to a friend or anyone else, for that matter.  I simply couldn’t put it down.  I thank you, MK, for giving my brain the break it needed by introducing me to this amazing author.  Seriously, buy this book, and guess what y’all?  I’m a book dealer, so, I’ve got ya covered!

Have a groovy Father’s Day!

  1. Started reading this book and got to say I tend to lose myself real quick inside it. I’ve been reading at least 2 chapters per day.
